INSPECTIONS INTERNAL & EXTERNAL AUDITS
- We have a regimen of carrying out continuous checks and regular Inspections on the vessels. Besides the regular Internal and External Safety Management Audits and ISPS audits, we also carry out Internal Environmental Audits using an extensively comprehensive checklist.
- We also use the services of third-party auditors for carrying out Internal and External Environmental audits. This not only ensures unbiased reports but sometimes, also gives us a different perspective and viewpoint.
- All audits include the following:
- An analysis of all waste streams.
- Verification of:
- All waste disposal records.
- Internal Records with a comparative analysis for accuracy.
- Pre-joining and on-board training.
- Awareness to Environmental Protection Policy.
- Operational tests of Pollution Prevention Equipment.
- Interviews with crew.
- Audit report is made and given on board.
- Same report is circulated among office personnel.
- Corrective action and completion of same is tracked from the Company.
- The above ensures smooth vessel management with no serious noncompliance of environmental issues. Thus, the ship-owner gains not only monetarily, in terms of fines and rectification costs saved, but also gains a good name for running environmentally friendly ships.
