On shore, as seen on the Organization charts, the CEO is the head of the Keymax Group, and under him, the COO is the EMS Corporate Compliance Manager, who heads the Environmental Management System, playing a very active role in all aspects of the EMS. He is ably supported by the various depts., which have defined EMS responsibilities, as described in the Company's EMS Manual.
On board, it is the Master who is at the head, and the Chief Engineer who is the designated Shipboard Environmental Officer. He is well supported by the junior officers and ratings in carrying out EMS duties, chores and practically implementing the system, on board the vessels. An organized and systematic setup, led from the top, is always beneficial to ALL.
